(VOVworld) The Nguyen Tieu Festival or the First Full Moon Festival of the Year 2012 took place yesterday in Ho Chi Minh City’s Cho Lon market, drawing thousands of visitors, most of them of Chinese origin. The festival entertained the audience with street performances, parades, and dragon dances. Phan Lung, a resident in Ho Chi Minh city’s District 11, said: "I’ve taken part in many festivities organized for people of Chinese origin like me before, during, and even after Tet, including photo exhibitions and painting competitions. There have also been a lot of charitable activities to support people of Chinese origin who are struggling".
