The Vietnamese delegation consists of 1,165 members, including 842 athletes, 189 coaches, and 19 experts, competing in 47 out of 66 sports, with 443 of the 573 competition events.
They aim to win between 90 and 110 gold medals and maintain in the top 3 position.
Head of the Vietnamese delegation Nguyen Hong Minh said: “We’re determined to compete with bravery, honesty, and the noble spirit of sportsmanship to achieve the highest results thus bringing pride to Vietnamese fans and sports. We wish all athletes and coaches to stay calm and confident, demonstrating the will and spirit of the Vietnamese people in the most honorable way to achieve the best results.”
