Vietnamese Association in Czech Republic awarded Labour Order

(VOVWORLD) - The Vietnamese Association in the Czech Republic convened a congress Tuesday for the next 5 year term, held a ceremony to celebrate the Association’s 20th anniversary, and received Vietnam’s Second Class Labour Order from the President.

The Association selected 98 new executive board members for the 2019-2024 tenure, with Nguyen Duy Nhien re-elected as President. Nhien said: “The Vietnamese Association in the Czech Republic focuses on effective integration and cultural exchange between Vietnam and the Czech Republic. The Association calls for investment by Vietnam in the Czech Republic and vice versa.”  

Tran Quoc Vuong, permanent member of the Secretariat of the Communist Party of Vietnam’s Central Committee, praised activities organized by the Association and said he hopes the Association will continue encouraging Vietnamese people to obey Czech laws and serve as a bridge for the Vietnam-Czech Republic friendship.
