The eight-month figure represents an increase of over 5 billion USD  against the same period last year, making the garment and textile industry the second largest contributor to Vietnam's export growth, following the group of machinery, equipment, tools, and spare parts.

Several key Vietnamese export markets for textile and garment products experienced a rise of over 20% compared to last year’s corresponding period. Specifically, exports to the US, the EU, and Japan surged between 22% and 41%.
