The Ambassador highlighted Vietnam's socio-economic achievements, potential, foreign policy, and ranking in the region and the world, emphasizing the progress that has been made in the Vietnam-US relationship in the 28 years since the normalization of their relations and the 10 years since they established a comprehensive partnership.

Dung discussed opportunities for cooperation between UVA and educational institutions in Vietnam, particularly student exchange programs, and presented to the UVA library some books about the people, history, and culture of Vietnam.
