Addressing a meeting on Thursday, Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam praised Vietnam’s recent correct and cost-saving testing strategy but called for renewed testing policies. 

“We are about to resume commercial flights to enable foreign experts coming to Vietnam to work for national development and cannot maintain quarantine restrictions forever. Still, we have to protect community health safety. This requires changes in testing strategy. I have asked the Ministry of Science and Technology to outsource relevant agencies and businesses to research and produce rapid antigen test kits as we had successfully produced PCR tests,” said Mr. Dam.
