Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung

This year the government aims to achieve a GDP growth rate of 6.8%. Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung elaborated on ways to achieve the set target: “It’s necessary to strengthen administrative reforms, improve the investment environment, create more favorable conditions for enterprises, and reduce costs to help them grow further. Particularly, we need to focus on the private sector which has grown steadily over the past few years.”

Minister Dung said Vietnam needs to improve mechanisms and take more resolute actions to strengthen the application of science and technology to boost economic development.
