Attending the 77th UN General Assembly’s plenary in New York to discuss Secretary-General Antonio Guterres’s priorities for 2023, Giang, who is the Assembly’s current Vice President, called on the international community to join efforts to implement the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals, 2030 Agenda, and other global commitments and priorities.
He highlighted the importance of resolving conflicts through peaceful means, boosting multilateral cooperation, strengthening financial support and reform of the international financial system, ensuring resources for sustainable development, and paying more attention to climate change and injustice.
