Vietnam strengthens cooperation with Japan’s Fukushima prefecture

(VOVworld) – Vietnam’s ambassador to Japan Nguyen Quoc Cuong visited Japan’s Fukushima prefecture last week. Governor Uchibori Masao and President of the Provincial Council Sugiyama Junichi said they hope to increase relations with Vietnam in the areas of economics, tourism, human resource development as well as to receive Vietnamese practitioners and experts in these areas.

The Vietnamese embassy cooperated with Fukushima prefecture’s Japan-Vietnam Friendship Association and Toho bank to organize an economic seminar involving 100 local businesses. Many Japanese businesses said they plan to invest and seek cooperation opportunities in Vietnam in precision engineering, electronics, and agriculture.
