Speaking at the meeting, Mr. To Lam highlighted that struggling against terrorism is a long-term issue, asking for active, synchronous, and responsible coordination from a number of nations. He underlined Vietnam’s viewpoint to seek shared solutions for the issue, asking the international community to join hands to address the issues of eliminating armed conflict stabilizing militarized areas, and fighting terrorism. Certain nations must end interventions that cause political tensions and armed chaos in other nations in order to serve their own goals, he said.
On the sidelines of the meeting, Mr. Lam met with Russian Secretary of the Security Council Nicolai Patrushev and representatives from China, Laos, Mongolia, Venezuela, and the Philippines.
