(VOVworld) – The Ministry of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs has reviewed the results of the 9th ASEAN Skills Competition in Jakarta, Indonesia last November.

(VOVworld) – The Ministry of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs has reviewed the results of the 9th ASEAN Skills Competition in Jakarta, Indonesia last November. 246 competitors from 9 ASEAN member countries competed in 22 categories including electronics, automotive technology, IT software solutions, carpentry, and automobile technology.

The Vietnamese delegation took part in all fields including 3 skills Vietnam competed for the first time – IT network administration, industrial automation, and hair design. The Vietnamese delegation won 5 gold, 6 silver, and 5 bronze medals and 11 Certificates for excellent skills.

Deputy Prime Minister Vu Van Ninh appreciated the results of Vietnamese delegation which showed Vietnamese people’s ability in the integration process. He underlined sizable efforts of the vocational training sector regardless of various difficulties in facilities and investment. Mr. Ninh says: "The Ministry of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs will continue to promote the achieved results and build appropriate policies. Relevant ministries and sectors are urged to cooperate with the Ministry of Labor to accelerate human resources development, organize national skills competitions, and participate in regional events. Schools that train examinees should upgrade facilities to prepare the best conditions for them to practice."
