"Vietnam’s human rights protection efforts and progress have been recognized and highly evaluated by the international community. Most recently in 2022, Vietnam released its mid-term voluntary report on its implementation of recommendations following the 3rd cycle Universal Periodic Review, reflecting its national responsibility, transparency, and seriousness towards the UPR and international commitment delivery on human right protection."
"Vietnam has always been cooperative in the UN Human Rights Council’s special procedures while constantly maintaining bilateral human rights dialogues with other countries and is willing to exchanges views on issues of mutual interests in a candid, open and mutual respect manner," Hang added.
The spokeswoman said more than 1,000 Vietnamese citizens have been rescued from Cambodia by September 21. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Vietnamese agencies in Cambodia are paying close attention to citizen protection measures for those who have been scammed into illegal labor.
