Mr. Khoi said that the Middle East will be exposed to undesired developments if instabilities in the Gulf continue unabated, leaving unpredictable impacts on the ongoing complex and intertwined regional conflicts and humanitarian crises, such as in Syria, Yemen, Libya, Palestine and Lebanon. This dangerous scenario needs to be excluded, the Deputy Foreign Minister said.

He underlined that all parties have crucial roles and responsibilities in maintaining peace and stability in the Persian Gulf and the Middle East as a whole. The current situation alongside with specificities and variations requires efforts to uphold international law, refrain from actions and statements that could provoke tensions, and promote dialogues and negotiations to settle differences.

The Deputy Foreign Minister expressed his belief that dialogues on common regional security interests can pave the path and play a significant role in reducing tensions and building trust.

Viet Nam has friendly and cooperative relationships with all countries in the Persian Gulf region and in the Middle East. The country remains strongly committed to make meaningful contributions to fostering an environment conducive to dialogue and cooperation in the benefit of peace, stability and prosperity in this region, said Mr. Khoi.
