He also stressed the tasks of ensuring security and safety for people, consolidating defense capability, and protecting national sovereignty and territorial integrity. Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc said:  “More than ever before, we need to fine-tune to socialist-oriented market economy, focus on judicial reforms, protect citizens’ rights, practice the democratic centralism principle, and control power. Effort should be made to fight corruption, misdemeanors, waste, and bribery to gain power, and promote regulations and disciplines within the political system. The State apparatus must be streamlined and the business environment be improved.”

Prime Minister Phuc proposed measures: “The government continues to stabilize the macro-economy, curb inflation, and ensure national financial safety, food and energy security, and traditional and non-traditional security. The economy continues to be restructured in a more effective way, clearing hurdles facing the private sector. Priorities will be given to socio-cultural sustainable development, healthcare, and education towards modernization and international integration.”
