In response to a reporter's question about Taiwan (China's) live-fire drills on Ba Binh Island, Le Thi Thu Hang said Vietnam has repeatedly affirmed that it has sufficient historical evidence and legal basis to assert its sovereignty over the Hoang Sa  (Paracel) and Truong Sa archipelagoes in accordance with international law.

Vietnam resolutely opposes and asks Taiwan (China) to cancel the above-mentioned illegal exercise and not to repeat it in the future, she said.
