Vietnam posts nearly 2 billion USD trade surplus in first five months

(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam earned nearly 100 billion USD from exports in the first five months of 2020, down 1.7% from last year, said the General Statistics Office.

The US is Vietnam’s biggest export market, with revenue exeeding 24 billion USD, followed by China, the EU, ASEAN, and Japan.

Imports during the period totalled more than 97 billion USD,  down 3.8% from last year. China was Vietnam’s largest import market, with an estimated turnover of 29 billion USD.
