Vietnam, New Zealand sign action program on Strategic Partnership

(VOVWORLD) - Vietnamese Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son and New Zealand Foreign Minister Nanaia Mahuta Wednesday signed the Vietnam-New Zealand Action Program for the 2021-2024 period to foster their  Strategic Partnership.

Speaking at the online signing ceremony, Minister Son expressed his belief that the diverse content of the Action Plan will further relations between the two countries. He said he is pleased that the cooperative mechanisms in politics, defense, agriculture, and health were maintained last year despite the COVID-19 pandemic.

The New Zealand Minister hailed the importance of the strategic partnership with Vietnam and expressed her willingness to cooperate in trade, investment, education, digital economy, and climate change as both countries strive to obtain a trade turnover of 2 billion USD in 2024.
