Vietnam, Mexico agree on measures to strengthen bilateral ties

Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son said that during a reception in Hanoi on Tuesday for Mexican Undersecretary of Foreign Affairs Carmen Moreno Toscano, who was in Vietnam for a 3-day official visit and co-chaired a political consultation.

Son proposed the two ministries support each other at international organizations and multilateral forums and promote collaboration between Vietnam and the Pacific Alliance and between Mexico and ASEAN.

Mr. Toscano said Vietnam is one of Mexico's important political and economic partners in Asia. The Mexican Ministry of Foreign Affairs will work closely with the Vietnamese Foreign Ministry to concretize orientations and measures to deepen bilateral ties and substantively benefit their peoples.

The same day, Vietnamese Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Do Hung Viet and the Mexican guest co-chaired their seventh political consultation and signed an MoU on bilateral cooperation in diplomatic training.
