Activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Convention for the Protection of World Cultural and Natural Heritage will be held in Ninh Binh province from September 5-7. On this occasion, Audrey Azoulay, Director General of UNESCO, will pay her first official visit to Vietnam.
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the People’s Committee of Ninh Binh Province, and the National Committee of UNESCO Vietnam have geared up for the participation of 300 guests at the main ceremony scheduled on September 6 at the Ninh Binh provincial Convention Center.
Other activities include a photo exhibition of world heritage sites, screenings of short films, and an award ceremony for paintings of heritage sites organized by UNESCO Hanoi Office.
