During talks on Friday, visiting Vietnamese National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man and Speaker of the Malaysian House of Representatives Tan Sri Dato’ Johari bin Abdul, reached consensus on promoting parliamentary cooperation by intensifying high-level and committee-level delegation exchanges, as well as exchanges between female and young parliamentarians.
They also agreed to share information and experience in building and improving appropriate legal frameworks, thereby creating favorable conditions to implement new areas of cooperation within the newly established Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
The two sides will also step up cooperation in supervising the effective implementation of international treaties and cooperation agreements signed between the two governments.
The legislatures will continue to boost closer coordination and support each other at multilateral forums.
Earlier the same day, the Vietnamese NA Chairman met with the President of the Malaysian Senate, Dato’ Awang Bemee Awang Ali Basah.
