Vietnam logs additional 12,029 COVID-19 cases

(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam reported more than 12,000 new COVID-19 infections over the last 24 hours on Thursday in 59 of 63 provinces and cities, down 1,242 cases compared to the previous day.

It reported that 8,693 patients recovered, raising the total number of recoveries to 9,076,927. Nine people died of COVID-19 on Wednesday.

So far Vietnam has administered more than 210.5 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine, including 452,000 doses injected Wednesday. 100% of people over 18 years old have been injected with one or two doses and 53% have had a third dose. 96% of children from 12 to 17 have been injected with two doses and the rest have had one dose.
