Reddi, operated by Mobicast Jsc., became the 2nd mobile virtual network operator (MVNO), after Itelecom. It uses the mobile phone infrastructure of the State-owned Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group (VNPT).
MVNO does not own network infrastructure but instead purchases telecommunications services from other mobile network operators and resells network services after repackaging at lower prices.
Vietnam has 126 million mobile subscribers. Reddi is targeting niche markets and exploiting new technology markets including services using 5G networks.
