Mr. Vinh made the statement on Monday at a meeting with Major General Endo Makoto, head of the Japanese delegation of the Japanese Ministry of Defense, who is in Vietnam for the 11th defense exchange between the two countries. He called on the foundation to carry out cooperation activities to promote bilateral defense ties. General Makoto said he hoped Vietnam and Japan will step up bilateral cooperation, especially in national defense.
