Vietnam is Singapore’s important partner in the region: Foreign Ministry Secretary

(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam is an important partner of Singapore, and Singaporean businesses want to expand their investment and business in Vietnam, said Permanent Secretary of the Singaporean Ministry of Foreign Affairs Albert Chua during a meeting with Vietnamese Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son on Thursday.

Mr. Chua is in Vietnam to co-chair the 15th Vietnam-Singapore political consultation.

Highlighting his support for cooperation in maintaining ASEAN solidarity and centrality, Chua agreed to strengthen the two Ministries’ consultations and exchanges at regional and global forums.

Foreign Minister Son praised the strong and extensive development of the strategic partnership and the efficiency of the political consultation mechanism between Vietnam and Singapore.
