At the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Quang Nam People’s Committee Tran Van Tan said the renovation, funded by the Indian Government, has solidified the friendship between the two countries.

"With support from the Indian government, we have restored the towers and completed the architectural space of the My Son sanctuary. We have discovered hundreds of artifacts of Cham sculpture which will contribute greatly to Cham cultural research," he said.

India’s Government, Embassy, and experts have spent 2.2 million USD on the renovation project.
