Vietnam improves its competitiveness

(VOVWORLD) - A seminar was held in Hanoi on Wednesday to discuss solutions to boost Vietnam's economic growth and increase enterprises’ competitiveness.

Delegates to the seminar praised Vietnam’s positive growth of 7.08% last year despite trade tensions between major economies like the US, China, and the EU. The experts say it’s now more important than ever to work out solutions to increase resilience of the Vietnamese economy. Economist Can Van Luc said: “Though our competitiveness has been improved, it only ranks 77th out of 140 economies. We need to work out prompt solutions to improve our competitiveness and corporate governance and select foreign investors while enterprises need to improve their capacity by themselves.”
