Vietnam pocketed two more bronzes by Pham Thi Tuoi in the women’s tanding 55kg and Nguyen Ngoc Toan in the men’s tanding under 65kg. Tennis player Ly Hoang Nam secured a place at the men’s singles final with his teammate Daniel Cao Nguyen. Vietnam also secured a tennis gold medal as players Ly Hoang Nam and Daniel Cao Nguyen. Earlier the same day, Le Nguyen Thanh Long brought home a gold medal in pencak silat’s tanding under 50kg.

The 2-2 draw against arch rivals Thailand after conceding a bizarre first goal and missing a penalty ensured Vietnam finished on top of Group B. The hard-fought draw earned Vietnam another point and kept them at top of group B, with Indonesia second. Vietnam will play Cambodia in the semifinal at 7 p.m. on Saturday (Hanoi time) and Indonesia play group A winner Myanmar.
So far, Vietnam has gained 31 golds, 35 silvers, and 39 bronzes ranking 2nd at SEA Games 30's tally.
