Vietnam forecast to see growth in export to EU

(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam’s exports to the EU are forecast to grow next year thanks to the EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA) and rising demand in the EU market.

One year after the EVFTA came into effect in August 2020, two-way trade rose 12% to hit 54.87 billion USD.
Despite the devastating impact of the 4th wave of COVID-19 in Vietnam, bilateral trade reached 51.3 billion USD in the past 11 months, up 13.8% against the same period last year.

Vietnam is the EU's 15th trade in goods partner and the EU's largest trading partner in ASEAN. Vietnam is also one of the top 10 largest suppliers of goods to the EU market.
