Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports, and Tourism Ta Quang Dong told a press conference in Hanoi on Wednesday. “Our goal is to bring films closer to the public and spread the impact. Through the Film Festival, we can see the achievements of Vietnamese cinema, which is the foundation for building a sustainable ecosystem for the film industry , from human resource training to cinema infrastructure and policy development.”
The organizer has received entries including 30 feature films, 120 documentaries, 21 scientific films, and 32 animated films.
As part of the festival, several side events will be organized, such as the Film Screening Week in provinces and cities and the seminar “Developing the Film Industry in the New Era” to discuss solutions to advancing Vietnam’s cinema industry.
