(VOVworld) – The Vietnam Family Day 2015 opened on Friday at the Vietnam Exhibition Fair Center. Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam attended the event.

Under the theme “Family meal with love”, the program includes various activities including a photo exhibition about Vietnam families, display of Vietnamese records with family messages and a cooking contest. Vuong Duy Bien, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, said: “The family meal is the time for all family members to gather. It needs to be responded to by everyone. I hope that the family meal will be widely responded to in the community. Each family should maintain a meal to consolidate their relationship”.  

There are some celebratory programs about family life in some of Hanoi’s city streets and a book exchange fair for children and some family themed performance programs.
