Vietnam enters day 10 with no community transmission of COVID-19

(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam recorded no new COVID-19 cases on Saturday morning, marking its 10 straight days without any domestic transmissions.

Vietnam has announced a total of 1,060 cases, 35 have died, and 902 have fully recovered.

Vietnamese authorities and representative agencies in the US, Vietnam Airlines and US authorities have coordinated to arrange a flight to repatriate close to 350 Vietnamese citizens on Thursday and Friday. The passengers included children under 18, the elderly, the ill, stranded tourists, students completing their learning courses and facing accommodation difficulties, and those facing other difficulties.

Right after landing at Van Don airport in the northern province of Quang Ninh, the passengers and crew members received health check-up. They were sent to concentrated quarantine facilities in line with regulations.
