Ms. Hang was answering reporters’ questions about the UK Embassy in Vietnam’s post on the Facebook warning British citizens of increasing attacks against foreigners in Hanoi. In a regular press conference on Thursday, Ms. Hang said the Consular Department of the Foreign Ministry clarified the notice with the UK Embassy in Hanoi. 

'The Foreign Ministry discussed with relevant Vietnamese agencies to verify the information, and work out ways to deal with cases mentioned by the UK Embassy. We affirm that Vietnam always pays attention to ensuring security, order, and safety for Vietnamese people and the expat community in Vietnam - and strictly deals with law-breakers,' says Hang.
