Vietnam, El Salvador to heighten bilateral ties

(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam treasures its multifaceted cooperation with El Salvador and hopes bilateral ties become more effective and practical, according to Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh.

At a meeting with El Salvador Foreign Minister Alexandra Hill Tinoco in Hanoi on Tuesday, the Prime Minister expressed his belief that the opening of the El Salvador Embassy in Hanoi will bring bilateral ties to a new era of further development.

He asked El Salvador to create favorable conditions for Vietnamese farm produce and urged for stronger trade and investment ties. He stressed the need to make Vietnam and El Salvador the gateways for central American and Southeast Asian markets.

Minister Tinoco said El Salvador hopes to heighten its ties with Vietnam and expand friendship and multifaceted cooperation between the two countries to bring practical benefits for their people.

Earlier the same day, Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son held talks with Minister Tinoco where they agreed on measures to strengthen bilateral ties, especially economic-trade-investment cooperation.
