At an event in Hanoi on Monday reviewing the organization’s activities since its establishment in 2014, Pham Van Tan, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations (VUSTA), said: "Save Vietnam’s Wildlife has done an excellent job in wildlife conservation despite its only having been established a few years ago. Its staff has continually demonstrated their enthusiasm and sense of responsibility in ensuring the future of Vietnamese wildlife."

Save Vietnam’s Wildlife was officially established as a national Non-Profit Organization by VUSTA.  Its works involve rescues and releases, securing of habitats , and educating and training the public to promote positive perceptions and attitudes towards wildlife conservation.

"We are committed to stopping the extinction of endangered wildlife and champion the recovery of threatened species in Vietnam. We rescue, rehabilitate, and release animals into suitable and secured habitats. We also educate the public on the impacts of illegal wildlife trading and carry out scientific research to increase our understanding of  endangered species in the wild and in captivity," said the organization’s director Nguyen Van Thai.

The organization plans to build strategies to protect palm civets and assess the conservation status for pangolins in Vietnam.
