President Truong Tan Sang said while receiving a visiting delegation from Japan’s Gunma prefecture led by Governor Osawa Masaaki in Hanoi on Thursday. President Sang expressed thank to Gunma prefecture for supporting around 3,000 Vietnamese workers who are working there. The President expressed his hope that Vietnam and Gunma prefecture will cooperate further, especially after the Trans-Pacific Partnership agreement was signed. He said the visit helped foster bilateral ties, especially in economics.

Governor Osawa Masaaki talked about Gunma prefecture’s manufacturing ability which ranks 2nd in Japan. The prefecture is also an area, which is home to many auxiliary industries, the sector of Vietnam’ interest.  Mr. Osawa Masaaki said the visit is an opportunity to enhance exchange and expand cooperation in technology and agriculture.
