The database encompasses tree species, habitats, planting methods, and characteristics of trees during their life cycle. The app will help State management agencies assess the current distribution of trees, monitor the trees’ growth, and connect tree growers. This digital map will also identify areas in need of ecosystem restoration, prevention of salinity intrusion, and anti-desertification, and enable localities to publish their tree planning and coverage targets.
