The Prime Minister chaired an online meeting with ministries and localities on COVID-19 prevention and control on Friday. He assessed that, in the past 10 days, no new infections in the community and an increasing number of people cured have showed that the epidemic is under control all over Vietnam. The new normal state has been established. However, Mr. Phuc warned of new cases to be detected in the community, particularly when Vietnam opens its door to foreign entry in the near future.
Therefore, the Prime Minister urged ministries, sectors, and agencies to continue to fully implement safety measures in accordance with the Ministry of Health’s guidelines. He said Vietnam cannot "block the river and ban the market", but localities should focus on measures to contain the diseases, ensure the safety of political, social, and economic events taking place there, and promote international trade in new normalcy.
