PM Pham Minh Chinh and PM Li Qiang pledged to increase all-level contacts and strengthen cooperation in various fields, especially in economy and trade, while intensifying friendship between localities and people's organizations.

PM Chinh suggested the two sides study measures to maintain smooth trade, accelerate customs clearance, and strengthen connectivity of road, rail, sea, and air infrastructure.

He asked China to continue facilitating trade, increase the import of Vietnamese goods, further open its market for Vietnamese agricultural products, and create favorable conditions for Vietnam to set up more trade promotion offices in China.

PM Li said China is ready to open its market for Vietnamese goods, especially farm produce, and cooperate with Vietnam in resolving stagnant cooperation projects.

He suggested the two sides strengthen strategic connectivity and assist each other in transport infrastructure connectivity, foster cooperation in economy, trade and investment, particularly in manufacturing and agriculture, and work together to maintain supply and production chains.

Mr. Li affirmed that China will promote people-to-people exchange, facilitate traveling, and restore tourism cooperation.

Regarding maritime issues, PM Chinh stressed that the two sides should effectively utilise negotiation mechanisms on demarcation and cooperation at sea, and settle disputes and disagreements through peaceful means in accordance with international law.
