Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong held a phone talk on Monday with President of the Cambodian People’s Party (CPP) and Prime Minister of Cambodia Hunsen to mark 71 years of the CPP and 55 years of Vietnam-Cambodia diplomatic ties.
The leaders emphasized the importance of solidarity and mutual support between the two parties, states, and peoples, as well as the significance of Vietnam-Cambodia Friendship Year 2022.
The two countries have successfully co-organized celebrations for the 55th anniversary of bilateral diplomacy and 45 years of Prime Minister Hunsen’s journey to overthrowing the Khmer Rouge regime.
