Vietnam braces for hottest summer in history

(VOVWORLD) - With the temperatures soaring to record highs, Vietnam is bracing for a summer season that could be the hottest in history.

Last Saturday, Huong Khe District in Ha Tinh province experienced 43.4 degree Celsius - 110 degrees Fahrenheit - the highest temperature ever recorded in Vietnam, the Washington Post reported. Normally, at this time of the year, temperatures in the area range from 27 to 32 degree Celsius. The current heat wave which has hit Vietnam’s northern and central regions is likely to sweep across the country until this Saturday.
