Vietnam begins COVID-19 vaccination campaign for children aged 5 to below 12

(VOVWORLD) - Quang Ninh province on Thursday began the COVID-19 vaccination campaign for children aged 5 to below 12. About 8.2 million children in Vietnam who have yet to be infected with COVID-19 will be administered a vaccine.

The immunization campaign is one of the activities intended to convey a message about the importance of vaccination for all, especially against the COVID-19 pandemic.

The two vaccines approved for this age group are Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna. The recommended interval between the two doses is four weeks. 

About 3.6 million children who recovered from COVID-19 will receive COVID-19 vaccine doses three months after their recovery.
