(VOVworld) - Vietnamese enterprises are taking part in an exhibition showcasing Laos’ handicraft products which opened in Vientiane on Friday. The exhibition, the 14th
of its kind, offers a chance for localities and businesses in Laos to showcase their potential and strengths in the field. It features more than 550 booths where a wide range of wooden furniture, brocade, rattan and jewellery products are on display. Vu Kim Thu represents Vietnam’s Xuan Viet handicraft Company at the fair:
"Our company introduces products of great fine-art quality and value which are made of Vietnam’s minerals and gemstones. These are our company’s latest products and we hope to further expand our markets in Laos and generate more jobs for the local people."
A workshop aimed at seeking investment for local small- and medium-sized enterprises will be organised. A competition on handicraft products and a performance of ASEAN countries' traditional costumes will also be held. The events, jointly held by the Lao Fine Arts Association and the Lao Chamber of Commerce and Industry, will run until Tuesday.
