On Monday a French court in Evry rejected Nga’s lawsuit to hold companies to account for supplying the toxic herbicide "Agent Orange" during the Vietnam War.
Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Rinh, Chairman of the Association, expressed his disagreement with the court's ruling, saying the court did not defend a French citizen but said it had no jurisdiction to handle the case.
Evry City Court's ruling was not convincing as the US chemical companies produced about 80 million liters of Agent Orange and supplied them to the US military to drop on southern Vietnam during the war, causing severe impacts on the environment and human health in Vietnam, said Rinh.
