(VOVworld) - Vietnamese and Algerian businesses gathered at a workshop in Alger on Monday to promote economic links between the two countries.

Representatives from Vietnamese companies hoped to partner with Algerian firms to boost exports of farm products, healthcare devices, handicrafts, electronics, and household goods to Algeria.

Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the Medéa region Hadef Abderrahmane said Algeria is a dynamic and attracting market to foreign partners including those from Vietnam.

He noted that the workshop offered an opportunity for the two countries’ businesses to boost cooperation for mutual interests, adding that the participation of Vietnamese enterprises at this meeting was an obvious evidence for their attention to the Algerian market and its potentials.

Vietnamese Ambassador Vu The Hiep said he hopes the two countries’ leaders will pay more attention to the two business communities, improve the business climate, and facilitate their enterprises’ operation as well.
