The airlines moved up one place from the 2017 rankings. On January 1, 2019, the Vietnam Airlines brand was worth 416 million USD, a gain of 34%. Brand has played an increasing role in the airlines’ success. Brand Finance estimates that brand value accounted for 8% of Vietnam Airlines’ total value in 2017, and 10% in 2018.
Vietnam Airlines was honored last year as a national brand of Vietnam by the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the National Brand Council, the only aviation company so honored. It was the second time it had earned the honor.
