(VOV) - Vice State President Nguyen Thi Doan on Saturday presented scholarships to poor pupils in Bac Can and Cao Bang provinces.
Ms. Doan spoke highly of the effort of the northern mountainous areas in general and of Bac Can in particular in investing in school facilities and improving teaching quality. The Vice President also asked the parents in the remote and mountainous areas and areas inhabited by ethnic people to send their children to school. Ms. Doan also visited Nong Thuong commune of Bac Can town, where she presented gifts to 10 families of policy beneficiaries and 10 poor households.
