(VOVWORLD) - The Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) raised 650 million USD for the fight against COVID-19 in Vietnam and the donations have been used under strict supervision, according to VFF President Do Van Chien.

“We have set up hotlines to receive feedback from the recipients. We promise that the donations are used transparently and effectively," Mr. Chien told a press briefing on Friday.

He said the donated money has been spent on purchasing medical supplies and essentials and ensure social welfare for people, particularly those experiencing social distancing.
