This is the largest military, economic, and humanitarian aid package ever the US has had for Ukraine since Russia launched its special military operation in Ukraine at the end of February.

Last Thursday the Senate overwhelmingly approved the Ukraine aid package which aims to strengthen Ukraine's defense capabilities and solve the humanitarian crisis.

It’s estimated that Ukraine needs about 5 billion USD each month just to cover the budget deficit.

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) forecasts that Ukraine's economy will shrink 30% in 2022 while the World Bank says Ukraine will suffer a recession of up to 45%.
