The country has signed and issued documents related to these issues over the past years. Ho Chi Minh City has implemented solutions to find resources for developing renewable energy and will recommend to competent authorities to soon remove the hurdles of mechanisms and policies, and create conditions for the development of clean energy in Ho Chi Minh City in particular and in Vietnam in general, Mr. Nen said.

Discussing the impacts of climate change, Mr. Kerry said that Vietnam and the US need to strengthen cooperation to quickly implement policies to combat climate change. He added that renewable energy development is an area where the US and many major countries in the world have set to achieve specific goals.
