During his visit, Kim will meet with South Korean Special Representative for Korean Peninsula Peace and Security Affairs Noh Kyu-duk and other senior officials to discuss the situation on the Korean Peninsula, including the international community's response to North Korea’s recent intercontinental ballistic missile launches.

The visit underscores commitment by the US and South Korea to ongoing close collaboration on North Korean issues to advance complete denuclearization and permanent peace on the Korean Peninsula.
